Ingredients: 2 oz. of mixed cranberry and pineapple juices 2 oz. 7-up soda (or any lime-lime soda 1 1/2 oz. Coconut rum (like Malibu) Method: Mix the 7-up and juices in...

This week I put together something that I hope you'll enjoy and I'm calling it the P and C POM Pop! This drink recipe is starring a new Bacardi product, Pineapple Fusion, it's pineapple rum infused with coconut. Mmmmmmm, perfect for the first day of summer! Ingredients:...

We bought a little basil plant at a local farmers market with the intention of having some fresh basil for cooking, but I also have been wanting to try some muddled basil cocktails like the Basil and Pineapple Martini. If you're thinking, "EW!!!", I was right there with you until I really started to enjoy muddling everything in sight as it unleases the fruit and/or herbs wonderful flavors. Ingredients: 4 parts Absolut Vodka 2 parts lemon juice 1 part simple syrup 1 piece of pineapple (I used fresh) 1 leaf basil (fresh would be best) Method: Muddle pineapple, basil and...

I stumbled upon the Emerson on pinterest as a cocktail that is said to be dated back to 1914, which had been named after the literary figure *Ralph Waldo Emerson. Just like a lot of cocktails, there are varying measurements, ingredients and opinions on flavor. I took the best of what appealed to me (and what ingredients I had on hand) and this version of the Emerson recipe seems to be well suited to be deemed a "classic". Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz. Gin 1 oz. Sweet Vermouth 1/2 oz. Lime juice 1/4 oz. Maraschino Cherry liqueur Method: Combine all ingredients into...

RedRum rum caught my eye while I was on a recent trip to stock up our Tiki bar! I would be lying if I didn't say that the name was the first thing that caught my eye and then the red color and the rum's description. "Premium Carribean Rum infused with natural mange, pineapple, coconut & cherry flavors. Mix with fruit juices, sodas, foo-foo drinks, or savor straight, over ice." I tried RedRum rum chilled straight and it's wonderful. There is a slight burn with the first sip, then you can taste the fruity flavors and has a nice smooth...

According to their website it is a "liqueur created in the artisanal French manner from freshly hand-picked elderflower blossoms." Actually now owned by Bacardi Ltd, it is still produced in an...

I had a bunch of strawberries that were about to go bad and you just can't let those delicious berries go bad, so what's the solution? Make it into a delicious cocktail like a Strawberry Gin Smash Cocktail. If you like gin you'll love this drink, but I did a few tweaks to the recipe. I found it a little too strong (for my taste) in the gin department, so I added another squeeze of lime and a few more muddled strawberries. Yum Yum Yummmmmmy! Ingredients: 1/2 tsp. sugar 1 lime wedge 3 fresh strawberries, 2 hulled...

Okay, I had to try a cocktail called Skull Smoker even though I'm not a super big beer fan, but tickle me intrigued. I've seen and even sampled a few sips of beer based cocktails (usually when my husband gets excited and orders the wrong thing on the cocktail menu without reading the description), so I decided to use the few beers I have left in the fridge for experimentation time! I looked at the ingredient list and it has things I love, rum (check!) and lime juice (check!) and it's easy to make (check!!). The verdict, I liked it!...
