On to part two of my Tiki road trip in Ohio! After leaving Columbus we made our way to Cleveland to shop at Sweet Lorain (my most favorite vintage store in the world!) and spend the evening checking out Porco Lounge and Tiki Room.
We were greeted by our bartender who was enthusiastic and was eager to help us any questions about the menu. Our drinks were delicious (I lost count after the third one) and we even made some new friends (Hi Phil!), we certainly felt like we were hanging out at a friend's lounge with such a warm reception!
Fun new friends!
Along with the taste tropical libations and good company, Derek and I enjoyed looking around at Porco's decor. Though there was a tropical 'Tiki' vibe all throughout the lounge, the bar is stream-lined with the perfect amount of kitsch.
I will forever be in love with giant puffer fish!
I can't deny that I was mesmerized by the large collection of Tiki mugs that adorned one wall of the lounge. I was admiring all the rare Tiki Farm mugs as well as taking note as to the ones that we own. I learned that the collection belongs to one of the owners, Stefan, who is a pretty swell guy!
If you live in the area or want to take a Tiki road trip to an amazing spot, please visit Porco in Cleveland, Ohio! The service is excellent, the drinks are top quality and the atmosphere is perfect for Tikipiles and lounge lizards!
