1940s Brown A-line Skirt Suit
Ready for a classic 2 piece suit that never goes out of style? This late 1940s skirt suit comes with a structured blazer, and an a-line skirt with a metal side zipper and hooks and eyes at the waist. The jacket is a fitted style portrait collar, has faux chest pockets, cuffs can be folded, has a small peplum, and all the original rhinestone buttons down the front. It is in very good condition, bottom button is clear instead of brown, possible spots on the center front of the skirt but hard to tell because of the textured fabric. Labeled "LL Berger, Buffalo, NY, Vera Maxwell Original", fabric is wool tweed, both pieces are unlined. The bust of the jacket measures 37 inches, the skirt waist 27 inches and the hips 44 inches. Length of jacket 21 inches, length of skirt 30 1/2 inches. Shown on a dress form measuring Bust 36", Waist 25", Hips 36". This is an authentic vintage piece in wearable condition, that was cleaned and repaired (if necessary). Flaws will be noted, but please ask any questions you may have as this is a FINAL SALE garment and cannot be returned. All items are measured flat the same way we measure our reproduction items. The maximum measurement is listed. Most vintage fabrics do not have stretch, so please take that into consideration when looking at size.
