Canal Fest is a free eight-day event put on in joint effort by Tonawanda and North Tonawanda in Western New York, just north of Buffalo. The event is the largest one held along the New York State canal system, with total attendance hovering around a 200,000-250,000 a year. We will be open the 19th-23rd and hosting the Blue Moon Vintage Bus Wednesday (car show day) from 12-5, and over the weekend for the craft show Saturday 11-5. Smoking Hot Bags is the creation of local artists Leanne & Bill, once customers of mine and now friends, come and see their handbag creations on Saturday, May 21 from 12-5pm at Cats Like Us. Smoking Hot Bags are made from upcycled cigar boxes and sometimes wine boxes. Each is unique and hand painted. Leanne's specialty is horror movie designs, but she can create custom ones to match any style.
