1960s Red Velvet & Cream Dress

Here's a beautiful early 1960s spaghetti strap party dress. (It reminds me of the Silken Flame Barbie Dress from 1962.) The top and straps are a bright red velvet and the very full skirt is a cream floral brocade with a silver rope style waistband and side metal zipper. The bust measures 34 inches, waist 26 inches, and hip full. Our mannequin has a 36 inch bust so it couldn't be zipped all the way. Unlabeled, possibly handmade, good condition, faded spots on the front of the skirt, hole on zipper seam, not noticeable. This is an authentic one of a kind vintage piece in wearable condition, that has been cleaned and repaired (if necessary). Flaws will be noted, but please ask any questions you may have as this is a FINAL SALE garment and cannot be returned. All items are measured flat the same way we measure our reproduction items. The maximum measurement is listed. Most vintage fabrics do not have stretch, so please take into consideration when looking at size. Shown with and without a crinoline for fullness, sold separately.
