1960s Donkey Tie
One of the best ways to achieve a vintage look, is with a vintage tie. The patterns and quality are unlike anything you see out there today. This tie is from the 1960s. It's periwinkle blue with pink donkeys throughout. It is labeled "Hens & Kelly, Buffalo, All Polyester" and measures 57 inches long by 4.5 inches at it's widest point. Hens and Kelly, established in 1892 by Mathias J. Hens and Patrick J. Kelly, was a chain of department stores based in Buffalo, New York.[1] They were early adopters of S&H Green Stamps as a promotional incentive for repeat customers. In 1967, the chain was purchased by the Sperry & Hutchinson company and in 1978, by Twin Fair, Inc. Hens & Kelly was closed in 1982 when Twin Fair was acquired by Federated Department Stores. It is in very good vintage condition, tiny spot on the end. This is an authentic one of a kind vintage piece in wearable condition, that has been cleaned and repaired (if necessary). Flaws will be noted, but please ask any questions you may have as this is a FINAL SALE garment and cannot be returned. All items are measured flat the same way we measure our reproduction items. The maximum measurement is listed. Most vintage fabrics do no have stretch, so please take into consideration when looking at size.
