1950s Vintage Wool Brown Stripe Tie
One of the best ways to achieve a vintage look, is with a vintage tie. The patterns and quality are unlike anything you see out there today. This tie is from the 1950s. It's textured with a thick brown, orange, and tan stripe. It's labeled "The Kleinhans Co Buffalo, Score, 50% wool 50% kodel polyester Superba". The Kleinhans Company, was a high-end men's clothing store located in Buffalo, New York. The store would eventually grow to be 54,000 square feet, and was said to be the largest men's clothing store in the country. Edward Kleinhans died in 1934, and left his estate to the city to build the Kleinhans Music Hall. Hart Schaffner & Marx (later Hartmarx) purchased the company in 1967 and operated the chain until it closed December 30, 1992. It is in excellent vintage condition, seam coming apart, not noticeable from the front. Measures 53 inches long by 2.5 inches at it's widest point. This is an authentic one of a kind vintage piece in wearable condition, that has been cleaned and repaired (if necessary). Flaws will be noted, but please ask any questions you may have as this is a FINAL SALE garment and cannot be returned. All items are measured flat the same way we measure our reproduction items. The maximum measurement is listed.
