My husband and I have been obessed with Mexican Martini's ever since he introduced me to this delicious take on a margarita. The delicious Mexican Martini concoction comes from Austin, TX and boy do these Austinites serve up a great drink to keep you cool combined with the right amount of tipsy.
(You can also see Trudy's Mexican Martini recipe here.)
Ingredients:
2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau liqueur
1-2 oz. Sprite
1 oz. Orange juice
Juice of 1/2 a lime
Salt
Olives
Slice of lime
Method:
Combine tequila, Cointreau, Sprite, orange juice, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice, strain into a salt rimmed glass martini or highball glass. We like to add a little olive juice on top and garnish with olives and/or a lime wedge.
Be careful as the Mexican Martini has been known to cause spontaneous siestas.....on the floor!
Serve up your Mexican Martini's in Tiki Farm martini glasses!
