The little black dress went to Chopin and Schumann, with accents of pink and heels of black.
Then classical guitar at a garden party, beyond the mansion in the back.
It took me to stomp out some country, with boots of red and a jacket of blue.
It was there with me in San Diego, at No Doubt with Blink 182.
It hung with cool cats of big band, elegant and retro.
Then a festival with flowers in my hair, dancing in the meadow.
Add a cardigan and tutu, for Lowest of the Low.
It was with me at Def Leppard, Heart and Poison for their Darien Lake show.
The magical dress saw Squeeze, Bryan Ferry, and Crowded House.
It saw Steely Dan, Elton John, and Modest Mouse.
The little black dress has seen all this and more.
Bought for $30 at a funky thrift store!
