how to fold a bandana for retro hair styles

I wear a lot of bandana's in my hair and even when I'm not wearing one, I get asked, "How do you fold your bandana's?". I have done many mini tutorial's for our in-store customers, so here's something that I hope will help all of our wonderful customers!

Step 1 : Lay bandana on a flat surface

Step 2: Fold in half, corner to corner to create a triangle.

Step 3: Fold the bottom point half way up the triangle.

Step 4Fold up again as the band width should then be between 4-5 inches, depending on your preference.

Step 5Flip it over as the folded parts will face in when you place the bandana on your head. The back should look as pictured, a nice smooth look. Tie around your hair and tie the bandana knot in the middle, to the side, which ever your prefer!

Step 6: *Optional. Secure bandana with one bobby pin, above ears, on both sides of hair.

I hope this helps shed some light on how to fold a bandana for all your retro hair stylings!

Why do the Bobby pins have to be above ears? Could you hold your Bandana us one Bobby pins at the back ? Or in another place? Also could you show how you made the twist with you hair that’s in front of the bandana? Thanks
