Summer is here which means I'm in the mood for some tropical libations (then again I'm always in the mood for a drink *wink*), so here is an awesome recipe called Planter's Punch, 1940's recipe (mr-booze.com).
Ingredients:
2 oz. dark rum (we like Meyer's)
1/2 oz. lime juice
2 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz. orange juice
1 oz. Roses Grenadine juice-this can be halved if you don't like things too sweet
Club soda to fill if desired (gives the drink a nice effervescence)
Method:
Shake everything in a cocktail shaker (except the Club Soda), strain into your favorite highball or Tiki mug, fill to the top with Club Soda and garnish with a orange slice and/or cherry. Sip, sip, ahhh!
