Vintage Inspired Style
Trashy Diva first opened in 1996 as a vintage clothing store based in New Orleans and has grown into a blossoming retro style clothing company with the addition of an entire clothing line and is available in boutiques around the world.
Each piece both timeless and ageless with inspiration taken from antique and vintage clothing with a strong emphasis on feminine styles that flatter a variety of body types. While the clothing is not “hand made”, you find that each piece has a one of a kind feeling. The styles are based on vintage, but totally fashion each style to be very flattering by refitting the garments and recutting patterns.
The retro style fabrics and cut of the Trashy Diva dresses are definitely what caught our eye at Cats Like Us. They are beyond beautiful and feel so great on (says Julie Ann).
Pictured is the 40s Mardi Gras Party Dress. This 1940’s Dress is beautiful and features a lowcut front and back neckline with gathering at the shoulders, upper bust, and upper back. The skirt is about knee length and combines bias cut and straight cut panels for a flattering A line shape. A classic!!! The fabric is black with yellow, turquoise, and lavender fans and masks throughout with a solid black waistband. It has a center back zip topped with two hook and eye closures.
