Ringing In The New Year With Some of Our Favorite Cocktails

Happy New Year cocktail blog 2016

Happy 2016! We hope you had a wonderful New Year's Eve and are enjoying the first day of 2016. We want to share a few of the delicious cocktail recipes we've collected over the past several years. It's crazy how time flies!!!

 Side car cocktail



2 oz. Brandy (or Cognac)

1 oz. Triple Sec

1 oz. Lemon juice


Add all ingredients into an ice-filled cocktail shaker, shake and strain into a martini glass.For an extra twist, rim the chilled martini glass with sugar and garnish with an orange slice or lemon rind.

Elderflower Cocktail

Elderflower Cocktail


3 oz, Champagne or dry white wine

2 oz. Elderflower liqueur

Club soda or soda water

Lemon twist for garnish


Pour liqueur and champagne over ice in a chilled Collins glass. Top off with club soda, stir well and add a lemon twish for garnish.

vodka gimlet cocktail recipe

Vodka Gimlet 

Ingredients: (Mad Men recipe)

1 1/2 oz. Vodka

3/4 oz. Lime juice

3-4 Lime wedges

*I add 1/2 tsp. agave syrup as other recipes call for Rosie's sweetened lime juice


Shake vodka and lime juice (and sweetner if you'd like) into ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into an ice-filled rocks with 3-4 lime slices. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

Mai Tai 1944 Trader Vic's recipe

Mai Tai


1 oz. Rhum Clément  VSOP Martinique rum

1 oz. Appleton Estate Extra Dark Jamacian rum

1/2 oz. Orange Curacao

1/4 Orgeat syrup (Orgeat=almond)

1/4 Simple syrup

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (save of the spent lime shell!)

2 cups crushed ice


Pour in lime juice, rums, orange curacao, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for about 10 seconds and pour unstrained into a double highball glass and sink in your spent lime shell.
