I had a bunch of strawberries that were about to go bad and you just can't let those delicious berries go bad, so what's the solution? Make it into a delicious cocktail like a Strawberry Gin Smash Cocktail. If you like gin you'll love this drink, but I did a few tweaks to the recipe. I found it a little too strong (for my taste) in the gin department, so I added another squeeze of lime and a few more muddled strawberries. Yum Yum Yummmmmmy!
Ingredients:
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 lime wedge
3 fresh strawberries, 2 hulled and sliced and 1 reserved for garnish
3 oz. gin
Club soda
Method:
In a tall glass, combine the sugar and a squeeze of juice from the lime wedge. Muddle with the back of a spoon to dissolve the sugar. Add the sliced strawberries and lightly muddle. Fill the glass with ice and add the gin. Top with a splash of club soda and garnish with the last strawberry.
