Brassiere: a woman's undergarment that supports her breasts.

Ah yes dolls, I went there! Let's take about bra's, over the shoulder boulder holders, boob slings, double-barreled slingshots!! If you want that extra 'Va' in your Va-Va-Voom, then you'll need a proper fitting bra and the right bra to help 'lift' and 'fill' out your clothing just right. Say it with me ladies, "SUPPORT! SUPPORT! SUPPORT".

Let's get started! Are you wearing the right bra size? Here is a simple guide on how to measure for your correct bra size. You will need a cloth measuring tape or a piece of string in a pinch will do.

Step 1: Put on a bra that fits comfortably, yet doesn't minimize or boost your breasts.

Step 2: Band size-measure under your armpits, high on your back, and across the top of your back above your breasts.

Step 3: Whatever measurement you got, if it is an even number, this is your band size. If you got an odd number add an inch and that will be your band size. Example: I measured 34" so my band size is a 34", if you got 37" then you would buy a 38" band size.

Step 4: Cup size-measure loosely around the largest biggest part of your breasts

Step 5: Now take the cup size number and subtract from the band size number and that is your cup size (A, B, C, etc.) For example: I measured 36" cup size and my band size is a 34" so I am a B cup=34B

Chart:

Difference=band minus cup measurement:

Less than 1" = AA

1" = A

2" = B

3" = C

4" = D

5" = DD

Are we all feeling lifted and seperated, comfortable and supported? YAY!!! Lookin' good already dolls! Now the next thing to know is what size to choose when shopping Cats Like Us fashions to really get the full benefit of that well fitted bra!

How to choose your size according to Cats Like Us dress chart measurements:

Julie Ann and Andrew carefully measure each garment to ensure you are getting the right fit, check out each garments measurement info beneath the photos. Also pay attention to description and what material's are listed. Does the garment have stretch? Does Julie Ann recommend going up a size? CHECK OUT THE INFO!

Here's an example that Julie Ann gave on choosing your size:

Lay something that fits you well on a flat surface after measuring, double the measurement, use this to compare to Cats Like Us size charts. i.e Your favorite dress measures 17" across in the bust, doubled=34". Your bust measurement is 34 inches and you are a D cup. The medium dress does not have stretch in the bust, so you need to go up a size large (36 inches) for the best fit.

Easy peasey! Use the garments notes and measurements as your guide. If you get really confused about your measurements, have a professional tailor or seamstress measure you and keep that info handy when shopping.

Now onto what bra to wear with what!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeee!

what bras to wear with what outfits

1: Halter: choose a bra with convertible straps that can be easily hidden under the garments halter straps. Keep it classy and hide those straps while keeping the ladies supported and at attention!

2: Longline: when the dress has a plunging back with illusion lace front and back, get supported with a longline that will also give a nice 'nip' in the waist that will flatter your figure.

3: T-shirt: choose a bra with smooth lines and seamless cups that will help the t-shirt lay nicely and emphasize your curves rather than the seams on your bra!

4: Strapless: HIDE THOSE STRAPS! The main complaint is that strapless bras are uncomfortable, yet if you invest in a nice strapless it will support your bosom and prevent you from having a wardrobe malfunction. Nothing like wearing a gorgeous dress and then ruining it with ugly bra straps! Trust me, it's worth it!

Go forth and "SUPPORT, SUPPORT, SUPPORT THOSE BOSOMS!" Happy shopping ladies!
